About The Source

The Source is a family-owned business with offices, warehouse/production facilities and a retail water store located at 214 5th Street in downtown Augusta, Georgia. Owner Todd Brandenburg has been in the bottled water business for nearly 20 years.

We feature three types of spring water including our own private label brand, The Source; Clear Mountain Spring bottled from Cox Springs in Belton, S.C., and available in three- and five- gallon bottles; and our premium water, Mountain Valley Natural Spring Water from Arkansas, delivered only in glass. The Source of our own water is a pure mountain spring in South Carolina. If you would like a complete chemical analysis of the water, please request one, and we will be glad to provide it to you.

We also deliver Distilled Spring Water in one and five gallon bottles. Distillation is a purification process that removes 99.9 percent of dissolved solids from the water and somewhat affects the taste of the water. Most customers prefer the Natural Spring Water, but once you acquire the Distilled Water taste that is all you'll drink.

The Source has an extensive and reliable delivery and service network and Todd's philosophy is to passively strive for growth, working harder to achieve Customer Satisfaction over Customer Volume. Our History

Todd Brandenburg started his career by working for a small bottled water company in Augusta as chief delivery person, marketing director, sales representative and actual "bottle washer." Five years later, after helping triple the company's business on a shoestring budget, Todd returned to his former job as an X-Ray Technician at the Medical College of Georgia, utilizing skills he learned while serving our country in the U. S. Army.

After a few months out of the bottled water business, Todd received a call from his former employer asking him to help out again. The company just was not the same without Todd there. This time around, Todd became a part owner by buying one-tenth of the company's customer base. From that minority stake, he has successfully and consistently expanded the business year after year while still operating on what he calls a shoestring budget. Since taking over the business, Todd has purchased two other small bottled water delivery services in the Augusta area and developed a solid reputation as THE Source for Bottled Water in the Central Savannah River Area.

Memberships

The Source is a member of the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) and The Water Quality Association. These two organizations lead the industry in purification of bottle water and water filtration devices. The IBWA employs the National Sanitization Foundation to inspect bottled water plants for cleanliness and assurance that they meet the federal guidelines for bottled water as set forth by the Food and Drug Administration. With the passage of the Safe Water Drinking Act, you are assured of only the best quality of pure bottled water.
